50 grInstant oats (or rolled)
150 grWater or plant milk
a pinchSalt
1Apple
a pinchCinnamon powder
1tablespoonsMaple syrup
Instructions
If you don't want caramelized apple oatmeal:
Combine all the ingredients in a pan: water, oats, salt, chopped apple, cinnamon and maple syrup.
Bring to a boil (low heat), keep stirring and cook until nice and creamy (see the consistency it should have HERE)
If you want caramelized apple oatmeal:
In a pan, combine all the ingredients except the apple and maple syrup.
In a another pan, combine maple syrup, chopped apples and a pinch of cinnamon. Bring to a simmer and let caramelize (keep stirring).If you do this, don't add extra maple syrupTO the oatmeal, just use it to caramelize the fruit. Otherwise it'll be too sweet.
