I shared this a few years ago - October 2016 - but I wanted to take photos properly so... here you are.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Pumpkin spice latte recipe - the healthy version: steps<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you're from the US, you all know this beverage. We in Italy though, are not very familiar with it.<br>Starbucks only arrived here, to be more exact in Milan, in 2018.<br>It's a reserve roastery (it's so cool!!!) and it doesn't serve all kinds of coffees and other drinks ('cause it's obviously adapted to the taste of the locals).<br>The original PSL is made with: \"<strong>milk, pumpkin spice sauce<\/strong>&nbsp;(made with 8 or more ingredients, like vegetable juices to give color and annatto, an additive)<strong>, brewed espresso, whipped cream<\/strong>&nbsp;(cream and vanilla syrup)<strong>, pumpkin spice topping<\/strong>\". Not the best ingredients, but hey...you can enjoy it every once in a while.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Anyway, during Fall, I always crave a good Pumpkin Spice Latte, so years ago I attempted to make this at home. <br>Several times.<br>Until I decided to \"develop\" my own recipe, which is actually very simple. Ridiculously simple (way more simple than the original one).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It's only 3 steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>I pour pumpkin pur\u00e9e (I make it at home because we can't find cans here) and the spices into a pan. Stir.<\/li><li>I add the milk, then the coffee and let simmer for a minute.<\/li><li>Remove cloves and sweeten a little bit. I'm not here to tell <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">you<\/span>.<br>But this one is very delicate: the sweetness of the pumpkin perfectly matches the milk and coffee. I personally prefer soy milk, because milk + coffee together usually give me a bad stomach ache, but you're free to use your favorite.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To keep it sugar-free (actually, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">added<\/span> sugar free) I don't add any sweetener (I usually enjoy my espresso without sweetener).
