From when I started eating healthier, about 5 years ago. And...it's a basic recipe.<br>I'm always looking for new flavors though because oats themselves are not that tasty.<br>This <strong>maple vanilla strawberry oatmeal<\/strong>? I swear, this strawberry oatmeal almost tastes like a dessert!<br>And since you cannot have dessert every single morning (<em>duh<\/em>), this is definitely a nice alternative (plus, there are no refined sugars!)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I think it's because of the vanilla-strawberry-maple syrup combination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>See those <strong>juicy syrupy<\/strong> strawberries on the surface (look at the picture below)?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I simply <strong>caramelized<\/strong> them with some maple syrup (you can use honey, if you're not vegan), in a small pan. Which of these are healthiest?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The answer to the first question is pretty simple: for <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">this<\/span> recipe you should use rolled or instant oats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Regarding the second question, short answer is: no oats are healthier than others.<br>Or, better say: <strong>all of them contain benefits<\/strong> (fibers, vitamins, minerals...).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Whole oat groats are the least processed, but they take longer to cook (not ideal for a quick breakfast). I made this around 11 am to take photos, then I put it into a jar, covered and stored it into the fridge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Confession: I also forgot about it and I ate it two days later!:)<br>You can basically transform it into a sort of<em> 'overnight oats'.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And, if you add milk or plant milk, you can then blend it and obtain a smoothie!
