Whole Wheat Waffles Made Without Baking Powder

You'll need:
Whole wheat flour
Salt
Vanilla extract
Egg
Honey
Yogurt (or plant based yogurt)
Milk or plant based milk
Baking soda
Lemon juice
In a bowl, add the flour, salt and set aside.

In another bowl, add vanilla extract, egg, honey and yogurt and stir well.

Pour the flour into the egg mixture.

Gradually pour the milk: the mixture should not be too thick or too runny

Lastly, add the baking soda and the lemon juice on top of baking soda so it bubbles

Pour about 2 tablespoons of batter for each waffle on the waffle maker and cook for a few minutes

Top with homemade yogurt and fruit.

These waffles give their best when you eat them immediately. If you have leftovers though, you can store them into an airtight container and then (if anything after one day) reheat them in a hot pan
